Liverpool is a great city full of culture, art, music and history, and is a must-see on your trip to Britain. And what better way to see it than with your family? This 2-day itinerary will take you around some of the best attractions Liverpool has to offer, and with something for everyone, you won't want to leave!

Day 1:Hope Street - Albert Dock - Yellow Duckmarine - Beatle's Story -

Hope Street

Start your day in Hope Street, which has Liverpool's 2 cathedrals at each end. Make your first stop the Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King, a unique looking building with a spectacular stained glass roof. At the other end of Hope Street lies Liverpool Cathedral, the largest cathedral in the UK. The awesome architecture and sheer size of the cathedral will bowl you over. And you can even take a trip to the top if you're brave enough.

Albert Dock

The next stop on today's itinerary is the Albert Dock, Liverpool's number 1 visitor attraction, showcasing the best of Liverpool in a World Heritage waterfront setting. The dock includes the largest group of Grade I buildings in the UK. Your children will love playing by the dock, and you can explore the great shops and museums before stopping at one of the docks' great restaurants for lunch.

Yellow Duckmarine

While you're at the Albert Dock, hop on the Yellow Duckmarine, an authentic World War II landing vehicle that will take you around Liverpool in style. Your hour-long trip begins on the road, taking in the historic Waterfront, touring the famous sights of the city, before making a dramatic 'splashdown' into the water in the Salthouse Dock..


Beatles Story

When you're back on dry land, head for the Beatles Story, a must-see attraction that transports you on an enlightening and atmospheric journey into the life, times, culture and music of the Beatles. For the kids, there's an interactive Children's Learning Centre - part of the Beatles Story's commitment to life-long learning and will greatly enhance the visitor experience for both school groups and families.


Cavern Club

If you're still craving more of the Beatles, head into town and visit the Cavern Club, which today is a replica of the original Cavern where the Beatles became famous in the early 60s. It's built on the site of the old Cavern, and half of it is built with the original bricks. Have your photo taken and check out the names of famous bands from all over the world that have played there.



Day 2- Knowsley Safari Park - Liverpool Planetarium - Liverpool Football Club -

Knowsley Safari Park
LStart your day with some animal adventure. Knowsley Safari Park is directed by the 19th Earl of Derby, and has around 30 species of mammal roaming 200 hectares of land, as well as a few birds, reptiles and invertebrates. Drive around to see tigers, lions, zebras, camels and much more, including the Monkey Jungle. There's also a sea lion show which children love.

Liverpool Planetarium

TNext, visit the Liverpool Planetarium at the World Museum Liverpool. At Britain's only free planetarium you can blast off on a spectacular journey through space and time, learning about the Universe around you on the way. There are daily public shows, including 'A Tale of Two Planets', 'Wonders of the Solar System' and 'Sunshine'.

Liverpool Football Club

Take your family to Anfield to see the Liverpool Football Club. The LFC Museum & Tour Centre celebrates all things Liverpool, past & present. Great displays tell the story of England's most successful football club, including a recreation of the standing Kop, and a cinema showing 10-minute films about the glory years. The stadium tour takes you to the player's dressing room, down the tunnel to the sound of the crowd, and you can even touch the famous 'This Is Anfield' sign.

The Olive Press

In the evening, take your family to the Olive Press Pizzeria Bar & Grill, the perfect place for a family meal. Everyone can relax in the rustic, cosy surroundings and enjoy the delicious meals prepared with the freshest ingredients. The 'Little Olives' menu offers children's and toddler's portions, and your children will love making their own pizzas. A donation of 25p from every child's meal sold is made to children's charity Childline..
